Abstract

328,751. Molins, W. E. March 26, 1929. Paper bags.-A package for cigarettes comprises an outer envelope enclosing a liner 3 of rigid material having at least four walls arranged to encircle a batch 1 of cigarettes in the direction of their axes so as to expose the full length of not more than one cigarette at the open end or ends thereof. One broad face of the liner may have a slot 6 cut in it to give access to the cigarettes, which may be covered by a layer of tinfoil 2; if no slot is provided, the foil is secured at one end to the liner and the cigarettes are removed by pulling the free end of the foil. A flap 4 on the liner covers' the mouth of the package and may be extended to cover the slotted broad face thereof. The liner may encircle five or six faces of the batch of cigarettes.
