Abstract

Heating and cooking vessels. - A combined roasting or baking and steaming appliance comprises an annular vessel 3 adapted to contain water, within which, supported by projections 5<a> on the inner wall 2, is a detachable roasting pan 4 containing a loose grid 9. A cover 7, fitting in bayonet-joint fashion over the heads of bolts 5 on the upper end of the wall 2, is provided to close the central space and supports a perforated circular tray 10 containing quadrant-shaped perforated receptacles 11 for vegetables &c. to be steamed. A cover plate 12 formed with a central opening 13 placed over the receptacle 11 serves to support a pudding &c. The outer vessel is closed by a domed cover 15 formed with a beaded edge 16 fitting a channelled rim 14 formed at the upper edge of the outer wall 1 of the annular vessel. The pan 4 may have a fixed or detachable asbestos bottom plate. Handles 18 are provided at opposite sides of the vessel 3 and the cover 15. A single gas ring at the underside of the annular vessel serves as a sufficient source of heat.
