325,784. Lanchester, F. W. Aug. 25, 1928. Sound magnifying and directing appliances.- A horn of gradually expanding cross-section has a vertical mouth-dimension large compared with the horizontal, so as to have a large horizontal angle of emission. Examples are given of dimensions to suit various requirements. To prevent resonance the sides of the horn are constructed of narrow slats, which may be spaced lightly apart to introduce on leakage factor.
