Splash guards.-Apparatus for use with a grindstone to divert dust and water from the user consists of a rectangular o p e n - fronted chamber a, placed in, or surrounding the usual trough in which the stone revolves, and having integral side wings d, d<1>, a curved back a<1>, and transverse louvres b at the open front to divert water &c. to the trough. Side wings c, c<1> are hinged to the chamber, and may be closed to aid the draught caused by the stone or by a fan; the stone revolves from the user.
