Abstract

321,043. Warren, S. F. Oct. 12, 1928. Television.-In a combined sound and television receiver, the sound reproducer is located near the picture image. The loud-speaker 1 is located behind the image screen 3, preferably viewed through a lens forming a virtual image of the screen at 1. Or the loudspeaker may be in front of the image screen which is then viewed through apertures in the horn. Cone diaphragms may surround a lens for viewing the screen, or the screen may be viewed through the hollow core of the magnet in a moving coil system, or be surrounded by an annular diaphragm. Supplementary lenses may be mounted at the mouth of a horn or on a conical diaphragm.
