Abstract

320,149. Bullock, F. July 16, 1928. Compound piston pumps.-Air is admitted to the closed crank case 11 by a port 15 controlled by a valve 17 operated by direct connection with the crank through a slotted arm 21, and is transferred through a passage 14 to inlet ports 10 controlled by the piston. Additional atmospheric inlet ports 5 are provided. The valve 17 may be conical, or a rotary disc valve operated by the crank pin may be employed in its place.
