Abstract
319,106. Manheimer, A. E. July 30, 1928. Cases, watch.-Improved means for attaching a strap or bracelet 5 to a, wrist watch comprise slots 6, at opposite ends of the watch, of keyhole section. These slots are formed in the main part 2 of the case and into them are slid the loops 7 at the ends of the strap 5. A pin 8 with head 10 is then inserted into each loop and retained in position by a cut-out shoulder 13 on the head 10 being engaged by the bezel 4. The head 10 is flush with the casing, the remainder of the attaching means being entirely concealed. If the watch is to be worn as a pendant only one connection 6, 8 is used. For a metal bracelet, Fig. 8, the, solid enlarged ends 14 of the bracelet dispense with the pins 8. In a modification, the locking means 10, 13 are replaced by a lug on the pin 8 engaging a recess in the case. In a further modification, spring means are used to maintain this lug and recess connection.
