Borehole apparatus. - An expanding boring tool for use in sinking caissons and other tubular bodies comprises resilient cutters 7 secured at their lower ends to a ring 4<1> fixed above a spiral point 6 and at their upper ends to a ring 4 slidable on the driving tube 5; the ring 4 may be adjusted by a rod provided with means for securing it to the tube 5.
