Abstract

314,361. McDonald, J. March 26, 1928. Hinged-sliding windows. - A window comprises a top sash B hinged within an outer sliding frame C and a lower hingedsliding sash H. The joint between the upper hinged and sliding sashes is covered by a bead G. The inner bead I is continued round the sill which is suitably checked to exclude weather. Fastenings are provided on the sashes. The bottom sash is hinged by means of pins thereon adapted to rest on the slotted leaves of hinges secured to the batten rod. A section of the batten rod I<1> is hinged to allow the sash to be opened and is secured in the operative position by screws.
