Abstract

Surface condensers.-In a multi-flow steam .condenser having steam and air lanes substantially in the direction of flow of the steam, the division plates in the water boxes being arranged in line with the lanes, the lanes 1, 2, 3 are of substantially U-shaped formation, each. arm of the U forming a separate lane. An additional steam lane 12 may be formed in the upper part of the central tube bank 9. In a condenser of the three-flow type additional lanes are provided in the side tube banks 7, 8 and adjacent the outlet 29 for the condensate. Baffles 30 may be provided in the lanes.
