Abstract
308,014. Ginzler, W. A. Jan. 18, 1928. Anti-dazzle screens.- An anti-dazzle screen for the use of vehicle drivers comprises a sheet g of polished plate glass or other transparent or translucent material preferably of a mouse grey colour mounted on a support b so as to be capable of angular adjustment and adapted to be retained in two or more alternative positions by means of springs, spring- pressed balls or equivalent members k engaging the edga of the screen or its frame h. In the construction shown the screen g is rigidly attached to a rod e having at its upper and lower ends cup-shaped bearings engaged by pivots formed respectively on a screw f passed through an upper collar d on the support b and on a quadrant-shaped lower collar c, stops m, n being formed on the block c to limit the movement of the screen to its operative and inoperative positions. The screen frame is preferably formed of two readily separable portions h, h<1>, while the support b is arranged for vertical adjustment in a boss a attached to the windscreen frame or similar support. According to the Provisional Specifications the frame of the anti-dazzle screen may be adapted to receive two or more superposed sheets of a transparent or translucent medium.
