Securing flaps in a given relative position. - The hinge flaps 7 suitable for the hinged window shutters which open outwards to lie against the wall are held in the open position in the same plane by a threefingered member 10 having the fingers 11, 13 for engaging the flaps on one side and a middle finger 12 which is off-set to engage the other side of the flaps behind the hinge barrel 8. The device may be attached to a chain 14.
