Saucepans; heating and cooking vessels; bodies.-The body a of a saucepan, cooking pot, or like vessel is formed with a series of grooves or corrugations b on which are adapted to be supported, by means of lips or lateral projections h, a series of loose discs, trays, or dishes d, e, the lips h in the last construction being shaped to grip the corrugations. The corrugations may be interrupted by two or more vertical fiats c to enable the discs &c. to be inserted, or continuous corrugations operating in conjunction with movable bolt-operated or like lips on the discs may be employed. The discs may be perforated and may be provided with covers, and are fitted with lifting handles f. The vessel serves for steaming and like cooking operations, and when inverted with one or more perforated discs in position acts as a colander or strainer. A domed lid g closes the vessel.
