Abstract

302,532. South Metropolitan Gas Co., Chandler, D., and Cooke, J. J. April 11,1928. Atmospheric gas burners. - A plurality of burner-portions 6 are detachably connected to the hollow body 1 by spigot and socket joints 4, 5. The burners 6 shown are of trough-shaped crosssection, the top being closed by a removable fireclay or metal plate 10 positioned by lugs 11, 12 and having slots 14 at the sides, which form the discharge orifices. The top surface of the plates 10 may, as shown in Fig. 6, be of cuplike form in section.
