Abstract

300,160. Cox, C. W., and Shawfield, C. E. C. July 27, 1927. Fusible cut-outs.-A fuse wire or strip of copper is coated directly with chromium to prevent oxidation at high temperatures. The chromium may be deposited electrolytically on the copper, or a plate of copper may have a sheet of chromium attached to each side, the plate being then cut into strips and rolled to the desired thickness. The fusible element may be used in fuses as described in Specification 261,067. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 260,536.
