Abstract

298,282. Gowshall, B. July 12, 1927. Filter-presses.-A distance-piece f sliding in vertical channels on the movable head d of the press is interposed between the head d and the end of a central screw c. The head d is brought up to the frames h of the press by turning handles c<1> on the screw c, and the final pressure is applied by means of an internally-threaded worm-wheel a, which engages the screw c and is turned by a worm c on a transverse shaft e<1>. The head d is provided at each side with two rollers d<1> which travel on the side rails of the press.
