295,210. Television, Ltd., and Baird, J. L. Aug. 9, 1927. Divided on 289,307. Television. - Comprises means whereby the position of a luminous spot at a transmitting station may be indicated at the receiving station by the intersection of two luminous tines. Then the luminous spot 2 of a transparent map 26 at the transmitter may be indicated 'by the intersection of luminous tines 30 on a similar map 28 at the receiver. This result is achieved by the use at both stations of synchronized scanning discs 5 having zig-zag slots 3 in place of the usual spiral arrangement of apertures, as described in Specification 289,307.
