Abstract
294,185. Gruebler, r. July 19, 1928. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 20 1928]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Four - stroke - cycle engines; cylinders, ports of and internal passages in. - In engines for use on aircraft an additional charge is supplied at high altitudes by a rotary compressor through terminal ports f; the piston is formed with cavities g to uncover these ports and enable them to be placed away from the cylinder head. A valve in the admission pipe e controls the flow of the charge to the parts f. A charge is drawn into the cylinder by suction through the valve c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the arrangement of ports f and piston cavities may be used in twostroke-cycle engines. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
