Abstract

293,870. Gilbert Co., A. C., (Assignees of Gilbert, A. C.). July 14, 1927, [Convention date]. Supports.-A constructional toy comprises a motor adapted to be secured to a base plate in either of two positions at right angles, the dimensions of the motor being such that in both positions it is disposed within the planes of side plates secured to the base plate. A plate 10, Fig. 3, having parallel rows of slots 13 and holes 17 and provided with apertured flanges 11 carrying side plates, serves as a base-plate for an electric-motor 43, Fig. 2, the frame of which has slotted lugs 47 adapted to receive retaining bolts 48 passing through the slots 13. The lugs 47 are so disposed that the motor may be fixed in position with its shaft at right angles to the position shown. The motor is connected through gearing to a winding drum 30. A motor having a cylindrical casing may be attached to the base plate by a support 61, Fig. 7, having slotted lugs 66 disposed similarly to those shown in Fig. 2.
