Abstract
289,272. Morgan, H. F. S., and Morgan Motor Co., Ltd. June 2, 1927. Deflectable axle-ends and intermediate connections therefor.-Comprises steering gear in which the stub-axle steering arms 3 are connected to the track rod 1 by tapered members 2 acted upon by springs 8 so that as wear takes place the joints are automatically tightened. The tapered joint may be bushed. Wheel wobble is prevented owing to the friction between the two parts of the joint, the amount of friction being regulated to the desired extent by altering the spring pressure.
