Abstract

288,119. Younger, W. Jan. 12, 1928. Brackets; portiÞre rods. - In a portiÞre rod arrangement of the type comprising a rod 14 carried by a bracket 5 attached to tha door frame and provided with a cam 15 engaging a roller 17 carried by a door bracket 16, the door frame bracket 5 consists of a pair of arms 1, 2 for attachment to the side and top rails of the door frame, the arms being relatively adjustable so that bracket can be used for a left or right-hand door, and the projecting part 3 of the bracket carries a rotatable fork member 4 provided with trunnions 9, 10, at least one of which is adjustable, for pivotally supporting the portiÞre rod. In the construction shown the arms 1, 2 are pivoted together so that the arm 2 can be arranged to project on either side of the arm 1. In a modification the arm 2 is slotted to allow this adjustment.
