Abstract

286,367. Heraeus Vacuumschmelze Akt.-Ges., and Rohn, W. Dec. 3, 1926. Alloys for turbine blades and other articles exposed to similar conditions comprise 10-40 per cent. of chromium, 40-85 per cent. of nickel, and 1-40 per cent. of iron, and are practically free from carbon. The alloys may also contain one or more of the following metals: up to 15 per cent. of tungsten, up to 12 per cent. of molybdenum, up to 6 per cent. of aluminium. and 2-20 per cent. of cobalt. The alloys may be made by the vacuum smelting process.
