Abstract

285,635. Mellano, A. V. Jan. 28, 1927. Packing tyres.- A tyre or the like is provided with a wrapping comprising a transparent portion through which the tread may be visible. A portion C of tough transparent paper, celluloid &c. is applied to the tyre A and secured by the beginning and end of the usual opaque helical wrapping B. In modifications, the transparent portion is wound helically about the tyre and is secured to the opaque portion before being applied thereto or the transparent portion comprises a panel let into the opaque portion.
