285,322. Fiacchi, F. Aug. 11, 1927. Slide-rules of cylindrical form for effecting calculations relating to ferro-concrete structures. A cylinder bea.rs a number of pairs of scales denoting the useful height and the area of slabs or sections, based on different coefficients and read selectively at windows 12 - - 15 slidably adjusted accordingly by a finger-piece 16. The cylinder is rotated to add the logarithms of the various factors by means of graduated rings two of which namely 5, 5<1> are secured.to the cylinder shaft while the other two pairs are only frictionally held to the shaft to allow preliminary relative adjustment.
