Abstract
284,321. Zeiss, C. [Firm of]. Jan. 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Street lamps.-In a non-dazzling street lamp, a source of light, in the form of an incandescent electric lamp bulb a with a reflecting cap c, is located, at the focus of a reflector b, which is semi-circular in transverse section and parabolic, elliptical, or otherwise continuously curved in longitudinal section, and between two plane, rectangular, directive or dispersing reflectors h, the planes of which intersect in a straight line parallel to the axis of rotation of the refiector b and preferably above the source of light a. The end walls of the lamp casing d are fitted with frosted glasses 1 and the bottom of the casing is closed by a hinged door carrying a clear glass g which may be corrugated longitudinally. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the plane reflectors may be replaced by several relatively inclined surfaces or by continuously curved surfaces. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
