Abstract
281,266. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Smith, A. R.). Nov. 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Steam pipes. - Highly superheated steam is conveyed from its point of production to its point of utilization through a pipe surrounded by another pipe conveying fluid under press of a less temperature. In the turbine plant shown, the turbine receives superheated steam from the inner pipe 3, and saturated steam of substantially the same pressure direct from the boiler 1 associated with the superheater 6. The saturated steam passes around a wall 12 through a pipe 11 containing a regulating valve 10. The supply in pipe 3 is regulated by valve 9.
