Mixing solids with fluids in flow. - In an apparatus for adding powder to a stream of liquid within a conduit, the conduit is provided, at a point which is down stream with respect to the point of admission of the powder, with a fixed guide of twisted form to impart a rotary motion to the stream. The powder is admitted to the stream passing through the conduit as described in Specifications 280,313 and 280,407, and the twisted guide is mounted in a short casing inserted in the length of the conduit.
