Abstract

276,429. Scholl Manufacturing Co., Ltd., (Scholl, W. M.). May 26, 1926. Corns, bunions, and the like, treatment of ; boots and shoes, foot-arch supports.-Shoes and another footwear are provided with pads 13, 14 having between them a recess 15 adapted to receive a corn, bunion or the like. The pads 13, 14 are secured permanently between a double lining of the upper 12 or between the upper itself and the normal lining. In shoes having high heels a steel shank 16 covered by a pad 18 is secured beneath the insole 19. The shank 16 is recessed as at 17 to receive the wearer's heel.
