Abstract
276,043. Oheim, A. C. April 14, 1926. Boxes made from special blanks.-Boxes having turn-over flaps provided upon their end walls have these flaps b secured in position by means provided within the box and comprising two or more portions some of which are attached to the box while the others are hinged thereto so as to be resilient in the direction of the height of the box and form the locking means. As shown in Fig. 1 an element f is secured to the end wall h and has hinged thereto a bridge piece d the hinged end portions c of which form the locking means. In another form, Fig. 4, the flap b is secured by a flap c hinged to a bridge piece d which is secured to the bottom a of the box. In other forms (Figs. 2, 7, not shown) the hinged elements c are disposed centrally of elements which are in turn hinged to portions secured either to the end wall or the bottom, while in a further modification (Fig. 5, not shown) hinged elements are provided on the turn-over flap.
