Lenses.-In a light signal in which the light is projected in a parallel beam by means of a doublet composed of two lenses C', C<2>. concentric wedge-shaped grooves 2, 3 are formed on the outer surfaces of the lenses and each groove has a surface 2a, 3<a>, parallel to the rays of light emerging from the corresponding lens. A cover glass E is supported by a cylindrical member F and a securing-ring 13 in front of the front lens C<2> and the central portion of the inner surface of the glass E is provided with horizontal prisms 12 to direct some of the light rays downwards. Concentric opaque cylindrical screens D are arranged between the cover glass E and the front lens C<2> in order to prevent light from entering the signal casing from outside, and the innermost screen preferably supports two flat ribs 9 disposed at right-angles to one another.
