Abstract

275,850. Riley, J. Dec. 20, 1926. Locking nuts. - A key 2 pivoted on a pin 7 in a slot 5 of a bolt 1 engages one of the slots 4 in a nut, and a ring 12 disposed in a groove in the nut is rotated by means of its arm 12<x> so that the end 11 of the ring passes through a slot in the key and holds it in the locking position, the key being released without removing the ring. A modified key, Fig. 8, is not pivoted and has two slots 14 which are engaged by the ring.
