Staples, wire and like.- A clamp or binder for securing together the parts of boxes and cases consists of a length of wire having the main shank portion 7 consisting of two straight parts 4, 5 forming an obtuse angle with one another and having straight bent-up pointed ends 3, 6 lying substantially at right angles to the sides or members 1, 2 respectively of the box or case when the clamp is applied thereto so that such ends may then be driven into the box without the necessity of providing holes to receive them. The end 3 is first driven into the member 1 and the part 5 forced against the member 2 as the end 6 is driven into it; when the member 1 is the lid of the case it may be opened by forcing a chisel &c. under the member 5 and drawing the end 6 from the side 2.
