Plug and two-part couplings.-The socket member a for connecting the leads to an electric cooking or heating apparatus is provided with a spring earthing strip g that contacts with some part of the metal casing of the apparatus. One end of the strip g is located in a recess d in the coupling and is secured therein by a single screw e which also serves as a clamp for the earthed lead i. The connector is formed with a large cooling space k for each lead to the socket b.
