Discharging devices for endless-chain conveyers.-Relates to endless conveyers, such as the conveyers of " travelling " ovens, and cumprises means by which the tins or goods carriers are tipped to discharge their contents. The tins 1 are mounted in carriers 2 suspended from the conveyer chains, and in one construction, Figs. 1 and 2, the tipping is effected by the engagement of arms 6 on the carriers in the spaces between projections 5 on a conveyer sprocket. In a modified construction the arms 6 pass into recesses in a disc keyed on the sprocket shaft, and in a further form the projections 5 are replaced by spring-pressed pins, which co-operate with a cam surface on a stationary plate. The pins hold the carriers for the time as they pass round the sprocket, and when the cam surface allows the pins to be withdrawn in turn, the carriers and tins fall into their normal suspended position by gravity. In another construction, Fig. 7, the tins are held by sliders 17, which are thrust in and out radially by the movement of rollers 20 in a cam groove 21. In a further form downwardly extending flanges on the carriers engage the periphery of a disc or guide, which may be fixed, or may rotate with the sprocket. Cam or eccentric mechanism may be provided to shake the tins when they have been inverted.
