Abstract

268,055. Trouton, M. Dec. 29, 1925. Secret telephony by transmitting confusing signals with desired signals. -Confusing signals which are also capable of separate reception at the receiving station are transmitted together with the desired signals to prevent overhearing. In a line system shown in the Figure a gramophone, buzzer, or other source is employed and affects two microphones 16, 17 the currents from which are differrentially received. Another microphone 15 is included in one of the lines 11, 12 and transmits the desired signal.
