Abstract

267,688. Hunt, E. W. Feb. 20, 1926. Surface markings for traffic guidance are formed of blocks each comprising a metal holder A of channel section with straight sides inclined inwards towards the top to hold a filling B of resilient marking material which projects above the sides of the channel. In the form shown, the metal holder is of double channel section with white or light coloured rubber moulded and vulcanized into the upper channel, the projecting edges of the rubber being bevelled. The inclined sides of the holder serve to anchor the block in the road material.
