266,312. Eisenund Stahlwerk Hoesch Akt.-Ges. Feb. 17, 1926, [Convention date]. Girders and beams.-In a process for making broad-flanged T- and I-sectioned girders or rails the flanges 1 and the web 2 are first separately rolled to the form shown in Fig. 3, and are then rolled together between side rolls c and upper and lower rolls d to form the complete girder. The flange sections 1 have side projections a<1> which are pressed during rolling over the enlarged head a<2> of the web while thickened portions c<1> are pressed into the hollowed-out ends b<2> of the web section. A T-section is made in a similar manner.
