Light and other radiations, treating diseases with.-Apparatus for treating diseases with heat, light, and other radiations comprises a box a containing ordinary electric lamps e or, in certain cases, lamps for giving ultra-violet rays or other special radiations and having its vertical walls and in some cases its top and bottom wall lined with reflectors, the base and one side being notched or cut away for fitting upon the knee, elbow, or shoulder of the patient. The edges of the cut away part h<1> may be padded or covered with material i, such as velvet. The lamps may be adjustably mounted in slots in the box and the front of the box may be curved and may be provided with a semi-elliptical or like vertical reflecting-lining b. The width of the cut away part may be adjusted by packing-pieces or slides, and the box may be fitted with hinged legs j or other supports.
