Clutches, friction.-In single-intermediate plate clutches for motorvehicles &c., the withdrawable plate d is connected to the outer end of a radial actuating- lever f by a flexible steel-wire cable a., the ends of which carry a conical or spherical ferrule b and a conical ferrule g, seating respectively in a nut c and tube e, adjustably screwed in the lever f and having a flared mouth h. The parts a, b, c, e, g are fitted as a unit.
