Abstract

263,944. Constantinesco, G. Oct. 7, 1925. Springs arrangement of.-An elastic link or spring adapted to be extended by collinear forces applied at the ends, applicable to motor and other vehicle spring suspensions, consists of metal plates or laminae 4 of sinusoidal formation assembled to form a symmetrical loop or bow and secured together at their ends, where they are thickened or separated by distance pieces &c., so that when under no stress each plate or lamina touches its neighbour at or near the points of inflexion only. As applied to vehicle suspensions, the axle block or support 32, Fig. 8, is carried between the elastic links 29, which are pivoted at their outer ends to brackets 30 on the vehicle. The arrangement may be used alone or in addition to ordinary suspension springs.
