Disinfectants and deodorants; disinfecting and d e o d o r i z i n g . -An hygienic or sanitary article comprises an inner core 2 of wood &c. and an outer part or block of evaporative hygienic material, the cora being supported on a carrier. The bore of the block 1 and the core 2 are tapered slightly so as to effect firm engagement. In the form shown, the article is suspended from a wall bracket 3, 4. The hole 6 in the core is of such a depth that the screw-threaded end 5 of the rod 3 is entirely concealed. The rod 3 may pass through the core, in which case a nut is provided at its end; the lower end of the core is recessed to receive the nut, which may be further concealed by a cover. Naphthaline may be used as the evaporative material, which may also contain camphoraceous ingredients, carbolic acid, and some perfumed deodorant.
