Abstract

263,474. Gr³ninger, W. Nov. 25, 1926. Leathers or sweat bands.-Relates to hats, caps or helmets provided with a perforated sweat band backed by a renewable sweat-absorbing insertion, and consists in means for retaining the sweatabsorbing insertion in position. The peak or brim 3, or a reinforcement 4, is formed with an inward projection 5 supporting the lower edge of the insertion 6; and the upper free edge of the leather 2 is provided with a hem enclosing a wire 8, cane or the like, engaging the upper edge of the insertion. The insertion is of any soft, spongelike material, preferably sponge rubber.
