Where the angle bars b are internal, they are supported by rest bars h, Fig. 2, secured to the coaming. Where external angle bars are employed, Fig. 6, ropes pass down the channels and are secured to the angles g, whilst hinged catches s take over the edges of the cover plates. Alternately, the catches are pivotally mounted on the stiffening angles g.
