Pedestal stands.-The movable inner member c of a telescopic stand is held in adjusted position within the outer member a by a blade or leaf spring g which projects from its lower end, and engages the interior surface of the outer member. The spring is arranged on a pivot f the ends of which project through c to prevent, by engagement with a screwed cap e', complete withdrawal of the member c. In a modification a ferrule h is provided in place of the projecting ends of the rivet f.
