Abstract

259,415. O'Brien, J. R. Nov. 27, 1925. Tyre valves.-A series of inflatable tubes 6 are connected by tubes 8 to a common inflating- valve 9. The valve stem 9 is formed with passages 11 each registering at one end with a chamber 17 fitted with a non-return valve 18, the other ends being fitted with nipples 13 adapted to engage the ends of the tubes 8. The latter are carried by a washer 15 which is fitted with a packing-disc 14 and clamped to the head 12 of the valve body by set screws 16. The tubes 6 are simultaneously inflated through an ordinary valve 20 fitted to the cap 19.
