Abstract
A dimming level controller 1 for a dimmer 2 has a screw nut fixer 11, a screw nut cover 12, a metal fixer 13 and a turning knob 15. The screw nut fixer 11 is disposed on a front panel 21 of the dimmer 2. The screw nut cover 12 is removably disposed on the screw nut fixer 11, and at least one interlocking part (122, fig 4) of the screw nut cover 12 engages with a plurality of separating slots 111 of the screw nut fixer 11. The metal fixer 13 is disposed on the screw nut cover 12, and a rotation shaft 14 is disposed through the metal fixer 13, the screw nut cover 12, the screw nut fixer 11 and the front panel 21. The turning knob 15 is removably disposed on the screw nut cover 12 and the metal fixer 13 and is coupled to the rotation shaft 14.

DIMMING LEVEL CONTROLLER
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a dimming level controller, and more particularly to a dimming level controller for a dimming range of a dimmer to be changeable at any time by changing the angle of the dimming level controller.
Description of Related Art
The statements in this section merely provide background information related to the present disclosure and do not necessarily constitute prior art.
Light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs have become popular due to their longevity and luminous efficiency exceeding incandescent bulbs and fluorescent bulbs. Although the upfront cost of LED bulbs is usually higher, the latter cost continues to decrease in increasing lamp life and making the cost less expensive. In response to the modern LED light source used for illumination, most LED light sources need to be corrected for the dimmer's dimming range to stabilize the dimming. Especially for lighting industry, in the face of different LED lighting conditions it is often necessary to modify internal structure of the dimmer or modify internal parameters. Since it is necessary to adjust the inside of the dimmer, the dimmer must be disassembled, so it is easy to cause inconvenience in use.
Therefore, how to design a dimming level controller to solve the technical problems above is an important subject studied by the inventors and proposed in the present disclosure.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
One purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a dimming level controller for a dimming range of a dimmer to be changeable at any time by changing the angle, and there is no need to adjust the inside of the dimmer, thereby achieving the purpose for facilitate the adjustment of the dimming range of the dimmer.
In order to achieve the one purpose, the dimming level controller applied to a dimmer, and the dimming level controller includes a screw nut fixer, a screw nut cover, a metal fixer and a turning knob. The screw nut fixer is configured to dispose on a front panel of the dimmer, and the screw nut fixer is configured to provide with a plurality of separating slots circumferentially in a first direction. The screw nut cover is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut fixer, the screw nut cover is configured to provide with at least one ratchet unit circumferentially in a second direction opposite to the first direction and the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots. The metal fixer is configured to dispose on the screw nut cover, and a rotation shaft is configured to dispose through the metal fixer, the screw nut cover,the screw nut fixer and the front panel. The turning knob is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut cover and the metal fixer, and the turning knob is configured to couple to the rotation shaft.
Further, the turning knob is configured to provide with a rotation groove circumferentially, and the screw nut cover is configured to form a stopper in the first direction, the stopper is contained in the rotation groove of the turning knob, and the stopper is configured to limit a rotation angle of the turning knob and the rotation shaft.
Further, the metal fixer has a raised portion, the raised portion is configured to press on one side of the stopper.
Further, each of the plurality of separating slots is a rectangular slot.
Further, each of the at least one ratchet unit includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side.
The other one purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a method of using a dimming level controller for a dimming range of a dimmer to be changeable at any time by changing the angle, and there is no need to adjust the inside of the dimmer, thereby achieving the purpose for facilitate the adjustment of the dimming range of the dimmer.
In order to achieve the other one purpose, the method of using a dimming level controller, the dimming level controller applied to a dimmer, the method of using a dimming level controller includes following steps: a screw nut fixer is disposed on a front panel of the dimmer, and the screw nut fixer is provided with a plurality of separating slots circumferentially in a first direction. A screw nut cover is removably disposed on the screw nut fixer, the screw nut cover is provided with at least one ratchet unit circumferentially in a second direction opposite to the first direction and the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots. A metal fixer is disposed on the screw nut cover, and a rotation shaft is disposed through the metal fixer, the screw nut cover, the screw nut fixer and the front panel. And a turning knob is removably disposed on the screw nut cover and the metal fixer, and being coupled to the rotation shaft. When a dimming range of the dimmer is to be changed, the screw nut cover is removed from the screw nut fixer, and after adjusting to a specific angle, each of the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a portion of the plurality of separating slots again, and the screw nut cover is reconfigured on the screw nut fixer.
Further, the turning knob is configured to provide with a rotation groove circumferentially, and the screw nut cover is configured to form a stopper in the first direction, the stopper is contained in the rotation groove of the turning knob, and the stopper is configured to limit a rotation angle of the turning knob and the rotation shaft.
Further, the metal fixer has a raised portion, the raised portion is configured to press on one side of the stopper.
Further,each of the plurality of separating slots is a rectangular slot.
Further, each of the at least one ratchet unit includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side.
When the dimming level controller is used, the first step is to arrange the screw nut fixer on the front panel of the dimmer, and the screw nut fixer is provided with a plurality of separating slots circumferentially in the first direction In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of separating slots is evenly arranged in 360 degrees, each of the plurality of separating slots may be a rectangular slot, and the plurality of separating slots are configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut fixer. The plurality of separating slots is circumferentially disposed on the first direction, and the first direction may be upward. That is, the opening of each of the plurality of separating slots faces upward to accommodate a corresponding ratchet from top to bottom. The dimmer may be dimmed by any type of bulb or illumination driving device coupled to the dimmable light. In the second step, the screw nut cover is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut fixer, the screw nut cover is configured to provide with the at least one ratchet unit circumferentially in the second direction opposite to the first direction, and the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, each of the at least one ratchet unit includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side, and the at least one ratchet unit is configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut cover. The second direction may be downward. That is, the projection of the at least one ratchet unit faces downward to the plurality of separating slots when push down the screw nut cover onto the screw nut fixer, and then the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots. Afterward, the third step is to arrange the metal fixer on the screw nut cover, and the rotation shaft is through the metal fixer, the screw nut cover, the screw nut fixer and the front panel. The rotation shaft is coupled to the dimmer and is used for the user to adjust the dimmer to achieve a dimming purpose. Finally, the turning knob is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut cover and the metal fixer, and the turning knob is configured to couple to the rotation shaft. Users can further twist the turning knob to rotate the rotation shaft.
Further, the screw nut cover and the turning knob are removable. When the dimming range of the dimmer is to be changed. the screw nut cover is removed from the screw nut fixer, and after adjusting to the specific angle, each of the at least one ratchet unit is configured to engage with a portion of the plurality of separating slots again, and the screw nut cover is reconfigured on the screw nut fixer. To this end, the user can adjust a relative angle between the screw nut cover and the screw nut fixer according to the needs or preferences, thereby changing the range of the rotation angle of the turning knob and the rotation shaft. Finally, the dimming range of the dimmer is changed, and there is no need to adjust the inside of the dimmer, thereby achieving the purpose for facilitate the adjustment of the dimming range of the dimmer.

The embodiments of the present disclosure are described by way of specific examples, and those skilled in the art can readily appreciate the other advantages and functions of the present disclosure. The present disclosure may be embodied or applied in various other specific embodiments, and various modifications and changes can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure.

disclosure.
A dimming level controller 1 of the present disclosure applied to a dimmer 2, the dimming level controller 1 includes a screw nut fixer 11, a screw nut cover 12, a metal fixer 13 and a turning knob 15. The screw nut fixer 11 is configured to dispose on a front panel 21 of the dimmer 2, and the screw nut fixer 11 is configured to provide with a plurality of separating slots 111 circumferentially in a first direction. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of separating slots 111 are evenly arranged in 360 degrees, each of the plurality of separating slots 111 may be a rectangular slot, and the plurality of separating slots 111 are configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut fixer 11. The plurality of separating slots 111 are circumferentially disposed on the first direction, and the first direction may be upward. That is, the opening of each of the plurality of separating slots 111 faces upward to accommodate a corresponding ratchet from top to bottom. The ditnrner 2 may be dimmed by any type of bulb or illumination driving device coupled to the dimmable light.
Please refer to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a view showing the relationship between a screw nut fixer and a screw nut cover of the dimming level controller of the present disclosure. The screw nut cover 12 is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut fixer 11, the screw nut cover 12 is configured to provide with at least one ratchet unit 122 circumferentially in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and at least one ratchet unit 122 of the screw nut cover 12 is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots 111 of the screw nut fixer 11. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the screw nut cover 12 is configured to form a stopper 121 in the first direction, and the stopper 121 is configured to limit a rotation angle of the turning knob 15. Each of the at least one ratchet unit 122 includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side, and the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut cover 12. The second direction may be downward. That is, the projection of the at least one ratchet unit 122 faces downward to the plurality of separating slots 111 when the screw nut cover 12 is pushed down onto the screw nut fixer 11, and then the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots 111.
Please refer to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 and FIGS. FIG. 5 is a view showing the relationship between a turning knob, a rotation shaft, a metal fixer and the screw nut cover of the dimming level controller of the present disclosure. The metal fixer 13 is configured to dispose on the screw nut cover 12, and a rotation shaft 14 is configured to dispose through a hole 130 of the metal fixer 13, a hole 120 of the screw nut cover 12, a hole 110 of the screw nut fixer 11, and the front panel 21. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the metal fixer 13 has a raised portion 131, the raised portion 131 is configured to press on one side of the stopper 121, to limit the rotation angle of the rotation shaft 14. Further, the rotation shaft 14 extends along the axial direction to form a limiting surface 141, the limiting surface 141 is used to engage the metal fixer 13. The rotation shaft 14 rotates together with the metal fixer 13 by the limiting surface 141, the rotation shaft 14 and the raised portion 131 are limited by the stopper 121 together The turning knob 15 is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut cover 12 and the metal fixer 13, and is configured to couple to the rotation shaft 14. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the turning knob 15 is configured to provide with a rotation groove 151 circumferentially, the stopper 121 is contained in the rotation groove 151 of the turning knob 15, and the stopper 121 is configured to limit the rotation angle of the turning knob 15 and the rotation shaft 14. Further, the rotation shaft 14 is coupled to the dimmer 2 and is used for the user to adjust the dimmer 2 to achieve a dimming purpose. One end of the rotation shaft 14 is slotted in a slot 150 of the turning knob 15 to couple the turning knob 15.
Please refer to FIG. 1 to FIG. 6. FIG. 6 is a flowchart of a method of using a dimming level controller of the present disclosure. When the dimming level controller 1 is used, the first step is to arrange the screw nut fixer 11 on the front panel 21 of the dimmer 2 (step S1), and the screw nut fixer 11 is provided with a plurality of separating slots 111 circumferentially in the first direction. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the plurality of separating slots 1 1 1 are evenly arranged in 360 degrees, each of the plurality of separating slots 111 may be the rectangular slot, and the plurality of separating slots 111 are configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut fixer 11. The plurality of separating slots 111 are circumferentially disposed on the first direction, and the first direction may be upward. That is, the opening of each of the plurality of separating slots 111 faces upward to accommodate a corresponding ratchet from top to bottom. The dimmer 2 may be dimmed by any type of bulb or illumination driving device coupled to the dimmable light. In the second step, the screw nut cover 12 is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut fixer 11, the screw nut cover 12 is configured to provide with the at least one ratchet unit 122 circumferentially in the second direction opposite to the first direction, and each of the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to engage with the plurality of separating slots 111 (step S2). In the embodiment of the present disclosure, each of the at least one ratchet unit 122 includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side, and the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to circumferentially dispose on the edge of the screw nut cover 12. The second direction may be downward. That is, the projection of the at least one ratchet unit 122 faces downward to the plurality of separating slots 111 when the screw nut cover 12 is pushed down onto the screw nut fixer 11, and then the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots 111. Afterward, the third step is to arrange the metal fixer 13 on the screw nut cover 12, and the rotation shaft 14 is through the metal fixer 13, the screw nut cover 12, the screw nut fixer 11 and the front panel 21 (step S3). The rotation shaft 14 is coupled to the dimmer 2 and is used for the user to adjust the dimmer 2 to achieve a dimming purpose. Finally, the turning knob 15 is configured to removably dispose on the screw nut cover 12 and the metal fixer 13, and the turning knob 15 is configured to couple to the rotation shaft 14 (step S4). Users can further twist the turning knob 15 to rotate the rotation shaft 14.
Further, the screw nut cover 12 and the turning knob 15 are removable. When the dimming range of the dimmer 2 is to be changed, the screw nut cover 12 is removed from the screw nut fixer 11, and after adjusting to the specific angle (step S5), each of the at least one ratchet unit 122 is configured to engage with a portion of the plurality of separating slots 111 again, and the screw nut cover 12 is reconfigured on the screw nut fixer 11 (step S6). To this end, the user can adjust a relative angle between the screw nut cover 12 and the screw nut fixer 11 according to the needs or preferences, thereby changing the range of the rotation angle of the turning knob and the rotation shaft 14. Finally, the dimming range of the dimmer 2 is changed, and there is no need to adjust the inside of the dimmer 2, thereby achieving the purpose for facilitate the adjustment of the dimming range of the dimmer 2.

- WHAT IS CLAIMED IS1. A dimming level controller (1) applied to a dimmer (2), characterized in that the dimming level controller (1) comprising: a screw nut fixer (11) configured to dispose on a front panel (21) of the dimmer (2), and the screw nut fixer (11) configured to provide with a plurality of separating slots (111) circumferentially in a first direction, a screw nut cover (12) configured to removably dispose on the screw nut fixer (11), the screw nut cover (12) configured to provide with at least one ratchet unit (122) circumferentially in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and the at least one ratchet unit (122) configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots (111), a metal fixer (13) configured to dispose on the screw nut cover (12), and a rotation shaft (14) configured to dispose through the metal fixer (13), the screw nut cover (12), the screw nut fixer (11) and the front panel (21), and a turning knob (15) configured to removably dispose on the screw nut cover (12) and the metal fixer (13), and the turning knob (15) configured to couple to the rotation shaft (14).

The dimming level controller (1) in claim 1 herein the turning knob (15) is configured to provide with a rotation groove (151) circumferentially, and the screw nut cover (12) is configured to form a stopper (121) in the first direction, the stopper (121) is contained in the rotation groove (151) of the turning knob (15), and is configured to limit a rotation angle of the turning knob (15) and the rotation shaft (14).
- 3. The dimming level controller (1) in claim 2, wherein the metal fixer (13) has a raised portion (131), the raised portion (131) is configured to press on one side of the stopper (121).
- 4. The dimming level controller (1) in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of separating slots (111) is a rectangular slot.
- 5. The dimming level controller (1) in claim 1, wherein each of the at least one ratchet unit (122) includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side.
- 6. A method of using a dimming level controller (1), the dimming level controller (1) applied to a dimmer (2), characterized in that the method comprising following steps of: disposing a screw nut fixer (11) on a front panel (21) of the dimmer (2), and the screw nut fixer (11) configured to provide with a plurality of separating slots (111) circumferentially in a first direction, disposing removably a screw nut cover (12) on the screw nut fixer (11), the screw nut cover (12) configured to provide with at least one ratchet unit (122) circumferentially in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and the at least one ratchet unit (122) configured to engage with a plurality of separating slots (111), disposing a metal fixer (13) on the screw nut cover (12), and a rotation shaft (14) disposed through the metal fixer (13), the screw nut cover (12), the screw nut fixer (11) and the front panel (21), and disposing removably a turning knob (15) on the screw nut cover (12) and the metal fixer (13), and the turning knob (15) coupled to the rotation shaft (14), wherein, when a dimming range of the dimmer (2) is to be changed, the screw nut cover (12) is removed from the screw nut fixer (11), and after adjusting to a specific angle, each of the at least one ratchet unit (122) is configured to engage with a portion of the plurality of separating slots (111) again, and the screw nut cover (12) is reconfigured on the screw nut fixer (11).

The method of using the dimming level controller (1) in claim 6, wherein the turning knob (15) is configured to provide with a rotation groove (151) circumferentially, and the screw nut cover (12) is configured to form a stopper (121) in the first direction, the stopper (121) is contained in the rotation groove (151) of the turning knob (15), and is configured to limit a rotation angle of the turning knob (15) and the rotation shaft (14).

- 9. The method of using the dimming level controller (1) in claim 6, wherein each of the plurality of separating slots (111) is a rectangular slot.
- 10. The method of using the dimming level controller (1) in claim 6, wherein each of the at least one ratchet unit (122) includes three rectangular ratchets arranged side by side.
