Abstract

258,735. Roll, R. B., and Gunnill, E. Sept. 26, 1925. Cleaning internally, rotary appliances for.-A flue and chimney sweeping brush comprises a flexible steel &c. handle A with a fork B at one end carrying a transverse pin E upon which a cylindrical brush C is loosely mounted, so as to be capable of eccentric rotation between freely-mounted discs F, F'. The arrangement is such that the discs F, F<1> contact with and roll along the surface to be cleaned, while the brush C rotates eccentrically in contact with the surface. A rubber &c. disc H or a sleeve &c. is mounted on the rod A and can be reciprocated to clean the rod. The rod may be in sections jointed together.
