Abstract

257,351. Woolcock, J. May 29, 1925. Compound slabs consist of a breeze concrete backing a<3>, a plaster or gypsum layer a' and a facing a<2> of paper, cloth &c., as shown in Fig. 1. The backing has edge grooves a' to receive the looped ends of ties c<2> engaging the concrete of the wall. Facing slabs for concrete walls are of clay and have channels d<1> on two edges and grooves d<2> on the other edges as in Figs. 8 and 11. Grooved ribs d<5> are arranged to key with the concrete. The channels d<1> and grooves d<2> provide pointing spaces.
