Abstract
A gas stove has gas burners 4 located in a chamber 3 beneath a hot plate 1. Hot air and combustion gases are circulated through a duct 6 and a coil 7 so as to heat water in a water tank 11. The gases are subsequently expelled via ventilation shaft 8 and outlet 13. In this way, thermal energy which would otherwise be wasted is used.
Description
FREE OF CHARGE WATER HEATING DEVICE CONSTITUTING A PART OF GAS STOVES
The subject of the patent shall be "FREE OF CHARGE WATER HEATING DEVICE CONSTITUTING A PART OF GAS STOVES".
The essence of the invention is to use thermal energy that is lost when cooking meals with the use of gas stoves.
All gas stovesthat have been known until present, includingthe most modern stoves, expel hotair and combustion gases into the atmosphere ofthe room, in which they operate.
This results in the gas stoves effectiveness of 30% to 40%. The remaining energy is consumed by the air that heats up and that is indispensable for the flame to exist.
The free of charge water heating device, as invented, recovers the thermal energy that was being lost until now.
An example of construction and operation ofthe free of charge water heating device has been presented inthe attached reference drawing.
CONSTRUCTION
No.l-upper plate made of, e.g. oven-proof glass; No.2-bottom plate made of metal; No. 12-side walls made of metal orglass; No.4gas burners; No.3-operatingchamber(hearth); No.5-inflow holesforair to reach hearth No. 3; No.7-hotair and combustion gases pipeline located inside a water tank No. 11, hereinafter referred to as the heating coil; hole(s) thatsuck(s) in combustion gases and hot air from hearth No.3 to coil No.7; No.9-cold waterinletvalve, No. 10-hot water outlet conduits valve; No.8-ventilation shaft (required in every kitchen on the basis ofthe law on construction); No. 13-combustion gases and air outlet holes.
EXAMPLE OF OPERATION
Gas is combusted in ope rati ng chamber No. 3.
Between 30% to 40% of the flame thermal energy is transferred to the upper pi ate No.l, where pots standin orderto preparedishesinthem.
Restof the thermal energy—approximately 60% to 70% (hot air and combusted gases) — is sucked in by the hole No. 6, coil No.7 and further by the outlet hole No. 13. The already worked off air and combustion gases go to the ventilation shaft No. 8. The entire processof sucking in the air and combustion gases takes place independently, as the inlet hole No. 6 is always placed be low the outlet hole No.13 (chimneyoperation principle). The hotairand combustiongasesthatflowthroughcoil No. 7 result in the water being heated up. The water is in tank No.ll together with the heating coil No.7.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PRESENTED SOLUTION
An unquestionable advantage ofthe solution presented hereinabove is its energy-efficiency and safety. l.Energy-efficiency:
When pre pari ng dishes we, free of charge, heat up water that will be used by us to wash pots and dishesaftermeals.
This solution can be widely applied in: fastfoods, restaurants and food processing plants, where cooking and washing is practically carried out incessantly.
In thiscase, the energy savingwill be very high. 2.Safety:
In the history flame extinguished more than once.
When this happened, there occurred gas intoxication or gas explosion.
In case of the above solution the leaking gas will immediately be directed to the ventilation shaft.
Claims (3)
1. Free of charge water heating device as invented, known by its: Heating coil No.7; suckingin hole No.6; watertank No.Hand operatingchamberNo.3(hearth)-connected. This connection is an integral requirement forthe system operation (heating water by recovering thermal energy that has been lost by gas stoves until present).
2. Free of charge water heating device as i nvented, known by its: Hot air and combustion gases inlet hole(s) No.6is always located below the outlet hole No. 13 (outlet hole to the ventilation shaftforcombustion gases and worked off air).
3. Free of charge water heating device as invented, known by the fact that: Water is heated only through recovery of thermal energy from combustion gases and hot air that constitute a consequence of gas combustion. (In the present technical solutions this energy is entirely lost).
