Abstract

256,520. Park, W. H. March 22, 1926. Jacks. - A lifting- jack for vehicle axles has a lever 1 to which are pivoted two groundengaging legs, one leg 3 serving as a fulcrum support and the other leg 2, which is arranged at the end of the lever, resting against the ground when the jack is in the inoperative position and being raised to a vertical position to carry the load by depressing the handle 1<b> or its extension 4. The axle engaging end 1<a> of the lever is curved to prevent the axle slipping off the end of the lever. A triplever 6 pivoted to the lever 1 can be operated by a cord 7 to release the leg 2 when the load has been released therefrom by slightly depressing the handle 1<b>.
